Ingredients: – Serves 4 people – 15 mins preparation + 35 mins in the oven
- 200 ml Half cream
- 200 g Creme Fraiche
- 40 g grated Parmesan cheese & 40 g grated Gruyere – mix together
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 300 g Leaks
- 600g minced Chicken fillets
- 12 sheets of Lasagne sheets
- 1 tin of chopped Italian tomatoes (400 – 800 g depending on number of people to be served)
- 1 bouquet of Italian flat parsley
- 1 bouquet of basil
- 1 Red pepper + 1 Yellow pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 200 C
- Mix half cream with creme fraiche and half of mixed Parmesan & Gruyere cheese (40 g). Then season with cayenne pepper and salt.
- Divide the leaks and cut into thin strips.
- Mix all ingredients with minced chicken and salt (cream + creme fraiche sauce and cheese)
- Place the lasagne sheets in a greased pan alternating layers with tomatoes, minced chicken + cream/creme fraiche/cheese sauce. Finish dish with last lasagne sheet.
- Cut red pepper & yellow pepper into slices and spread over top of lasagne and add remainder of Parmesan & Gruyere cheese mix.
- Cook lasagne in oven for about 35 minutes
- Before serving and after cooking lasagne add chopped Italian flat parsley and sprigs of basil
